**SEND Case Officer

Venn Group are currently recruiting for a **SEND Case Officer**on behalf of a well-respected City Council in the South West to provide strategic service, relevant to enhancing the work of the whole directorate.

**Location**: South West (remote)

**Duration**: 6 Months initially

**Rate**:£260 per day Umbrella

**IR35 status**:Inside IR35

**Responsibilities**:

- Matters through effective liaison and attendance at case conferences, planning and multi-agency meetings as required.
- Work closely with the SEN Casework Manager and deputise and act on behalf of them as appropriate when required
- Work closely with, provide cover for and support to the other SEN Casework Officers in order to ensure consistency of practice and to achieve the performance indicators (compliance with required action by 18 and 26 week stages of statutory assessment process)as detailed in the CSET Service Plan.
- Liaise and work closely with the Transport and Escort Teams to ensure that services are provided in accordance with the LA’ policies and with the efficient use of resources.
- Responsible for the administration of cases that come under the Belonging
- Regulations in liaison with the SEN Casework Officer (Complex Cases & Resources Support) and Resources Team

**Essential experience**:

- Significant demonstrable experience in a relevant business development and/or support role
- Extensive knowledge of EHCP and SEND legislation and practices
- Ability to manage a designated caseload against constantly changing demands and conflicting priorities within tight statutory deadlines
- Proven experience of financial/budget management
