**The Opportunity**:
HTG-UK is at the forefront of healthcare transportation and we are looking for a Communications Officer to help tell our story. This is an opportunity to take the next step in your communications career within the rewarding - and challenging - healthcare sector.
You will be producing and sharing engaging print and digital content across our dedicated workforce of front line ambulance crews and support staff. You will also support the Communications Director in our external stakeholder engagement and media programme, enhancing the reputational of HTG-UK at a national and local level.
**Who are we?**
HTG-UK (Health Transportation Group UK) is one of the UK’s largest Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPTS) providers, carrying out over 550,000 journeys on behalf of the NHS every year. We have a total of 15 operational bases across the UK, over 700 employees and are leading the way in delivering safe, caring, high-quality patient transport.

This is a high-profile role within the organisation and you will benefit from reporting directly to the HTG-UK Communications Director who will provide the support and guidance to take your skills and experience to the next level.
This position is well suited to an articulate, creative and driven individual who has a good understanding of communications as well as a desire to learn and develop further.
**Salary per annum: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum depending on experience (12-month fixed term employment with potential for the role to become permanent).**
**What will you be doing?**
- Support the Communications Director to provide day-to-day communication support.
- Develop and deliver internal communications to meet HTG-UK objectives.
- Create effective and engaging content such as newsletters, leaflets and bulletins.
- Ensure communications is up to date and keep staff informed of any company changes.
- Support the Communications Director with external stakeholder and media enquiries.
- Create effective and engaging content for press releases, website and social media.
- Coordinating and attending Stakeholder Engagement Events.
- Ensure internal and external content aligns with HTG-UK’s brand identity and message.
- Support the bid team writing high-quality copy and case studies / examples of best practice from around the organisation.
- Support the communications and engagement workstreams of major contract mobilisations.
- Develop and embrace HTG-UK’s strategy on social value including our impact on the environment and playing an active role in our communities.

**What are we looking for?**

- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage and keep projects on track and manage expectations.
- Full UK Driving licence and willingness for occasional travel as required.
**EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
**Essential**:
- Some experience of working in a communications or public relations environment, paid or unpaid.
- Excellent interpersonal and oral communication skills, negotiating, networking and persuasive skills.
- Superb written skills that can be tailored to different audiences with the ability to pull together comprehensive written material.
- Problem solving skills and ability to respond to sudden unexpected demands.
- Ability to work without supervision and on own initiative.
**Desirable**:
- Previous experience working in a similar position within the public or private sector.
- Skills in Adobe design / publishing software.
- Politically and socially aware of the environment in which HTG-UK operates.
- Knowledge of administrative procedures, project management or information analysis.
