**Job Purpose and work duties**

**Job purpose**:
To assist with the day-to-day activities enabling the employer to maintain an independent and fulfilling life that meets their chosen lifestyle.

**Work Duties will include**:
Helping with Personal Care

Domestic tasks e.g. laundry, housework and meal preparation.

Shopping

Outdoor walking / exercise

Taking to appointments

Assisting with leisure activities

Supporting with mobility, ensuring the employers safety

Undertaking activities for employer

Ensuring employers home is hygienic and safe

**Other requirements**

Working in a safe way and highlighting health and safety concerns

Assisting with management of employer’s health risks

Establish and maintain effective communication

Maintaining confidentiality

Promoting independence

**Driver essential (PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF YOU DO NOT DRIVE)**

**Location**

**Within the employer’s home and surrounding area of Stourbridge**

**Hours and rate of pay**

**Includes every weekend (12 hours) longer hours on a Saturday and shorter on a Sunday**

**24 hours per week, during school holiday**

**£9.80 per hour Between Monday and Sunday**

**Bank staff as and when required to cover holiday and sickness**

**Requirements for applicant**

Experience of providing care (preferred but not essential as training can be provided)

Driver (Essential)

Good sense of humour

Patience

Ability to understand and deliver the needs of the employer

Ability to undertake domestic activities

Flexible, reliable and honest

Good general fitness

An enhanced DBS check will be required

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 12 months

**Salary**: £9.80 per hour
