We are currently recruiting for a Care / Support worker to join our team of Personal Assistants supporting one of our clients in the Staffordshire area ( a short drive from Stourbridge). The role will be varied, but you will be supporting our client with a neurological condition, to lead an individual and independent lifestyle in their own home and the community. Our client has many interests and hobbies but particularly enjoys gardening, caring for animals and being out and about in the countryside.
- **Hours: 12 hours per week. ( Wednesday 4pm -10pm and another 6 hours per week which can be flexible) **_

Please note there are dogs and chickens in the clients family home so you must be comfortable around animals.

You must hold a full driving licence for this role with appropriate insurance in place to be able to use your car for work purposes, including travelling with our client.

The training is bespoke to the client and fully comprehensive for meeting their needs. We also provide refresher training on a regular basis, to keep your knowledge and skills current.

**Who we are looking for**:
You must be self motivated, well organised, chatty, reliable and an excellent team player. As well as being a naturally caring and compassionate person, we’re seeking Care / Support workers with:

- Experience of seizure management.
- Understanding of Neurological injuries.
- A background in care with some moving and handling experience (would be preferable).
- The ability to provide companionship with good conversation and keeping clients safe whilst in their own home and also out in the community.
- An interest in cooking and preparation of nutritious meals.

You should also have:

- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
- Flexibility to cover annual leave and sickness

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: £12.50 per hour
