DASA has four mutually supporting teams, Outreach, Operations, Partnership & Impact and Support Services. This role is within Support Services providing services to the whole team.

The Engagement Team develops and delivers a programme of engagement events and supports communications, including Official Correspondence, to enable DASA to find and fund exploitable innovative ideas. There is a diverse audience - from Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs), academia and the defence industry, to Government stakeholders, including senior leaders within Defence and policy branches in other Government departments.

This role includes technical leadership of a team of engagement specialists covering communications, marketing, social media/collaboration site development and moderation and delivery of physical and online events. This is a pivotal role which will require extensive engagement and networking with internal and external stakeholders

**Job description**:
**In this role you will**:

- Develop and deliver the DASA engagement plan covering communications, marketing, digital communications, including virtual marketplace and forums, and social media/collaboration site development and moderation to:

- Raise awareness of DASA across Government
- Maintain and increase supplier engagement (SMEs, industry and academia)
- Develop effective brand presence
- Lead the development and delivery of DASA’s communication across all channels, including digital communication networks (for the virtual marketplace and forum) and DASA branding.
- Lead the development and delivery of a programme of bespoke events to address a broad range of topics for supplier engagement and development, to provide opportunity for suppliers to engage with the wider defence supply and other market networks.
- Deliver the engagement programme through identifying, engaging and liaison with relevant external stakeholders from across MOD, other government departments, devolved governments, defence industry primes, industry and academic associations.
- Set success criteria for engagement activities, measure and share success to inform future planning.
- Support Innovation Partners, Access to Finance and Industry Partners with their engagement across the innovation network, including attendance at events and with their liaison with different industry and academic groups and partners.
- Support DASA Partners located within Front Line Commands with their engagement across the Defence innovation network, including promotional material.
- Manage DASA’s standalone Secretariat, including Freedom of Information, Parliamentary questions and Treat Official correspondence
