**Position**: Packing Operator - Pack House Department

**Location**: B+F Potatoes Ltd. Glebe Farm ,Butterwick, Weaverthorpe, Malton YO17 8HF

**Working Hours**:Monday to Friday ( Monday to Thursday 07:30 -17:00, Friday: 07:30-15:00 early finish).

Optional and voluntary overtime on Sundays from 7:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

**Starting Salary**: £12.21 per hour.

**Experience**: Previous experience in a factory or warehouse is desirable but not essential as we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

**About us**:
At B+F, we supply over a dozen varieties of graded white, yellow and red potatoes, including a number of different chippers, bakers, packers and all-rounders, in either unwashed, washed or peeled, and available for immediate delivery (dependent on the size of the order) or collection.

Constantly developing our offering, we regularly test new varieties to meet the changing needs of our customers, and our expert teams are happy to provide advice on the right variety to meet your requirements.

**Role and Responsibilities**:
As a Packing Operator, you'll be an essential part of our production process. Your main responsibilities will include:

- Starting up, controlling, adjusting, and cleaning machines on automatic production lines (e.g., Robot Palletising Machine).
- Conducting visual quality inspections to ensure potatoes meet company standards.
- Assisting in sorting and grading potatoes, ensuring only high-quality produce is packed.
- Hand-packing and lifting potato sacks may be required, from 2kg up to the heaviest weight of 25kg.
- Accurately documenting quality inspection results on production paperwork.
- Ensuring all work areas are kept clean and adhere to safety protocols.
- Collaborating with team members to ensure smooth production flow.

Having your own transportation is a requirement due to the site location, on-site parking facility is provided.
