**Description**
**Cobham Mission Systems, now part of the Eaton portfolio, have an exciting opportunity for a Materials Handling Supervisor.**

**Role Purpose**:

- To lead a team of personnel with responsibilities for stock movement and storage i.e. receiving, storage and issuing
- To provide direction to team members aligned to business goals
- To ensure service levels to both internal and external customers are met by the team
- To perform the administrative/physical tasks involved in the receiving, storing and tracking of parts, supplies and equipment.
- To manage the kitting, deployment and distribution of inventory necessary to support the Business

**Reporting to the Stores Supervisor, this role is based from Wimborne, Dorset.**

**The role is working a late shift of 1400-2200 Monday to Friday and has an additional 25% shift premium.**

**There is also some overtime available and this is paid at x1.5 or x2.0 rate.**

**As a Materials Handling Supervisor your skills and qualifications will ideally include**:

- Previous supervisory experience desirable
- Experience of change management, continuous improvement, process improvement & 5S
- Extensive knowledge of the operations of an ERP system relating to Stores activities
- Good understanding of Health & Safety requirements in a Stores environment
- Ability to carry out manual handling within normal limits
- Ability to lead and develop a team
- Able to present information clearly and concisely
- Excellent organisational skills, attention to detail and hands on experience of materials related tasks

**As a Materials Handling Supervisor, your main responsibilities will involve**:

- To allocate tasks and manage priorities according to business demands
- To review and provide feedback on performance and development of direct reports
- To undertake 1to1 reviews with direct reports on a regular basis.
- To support and drive continuous improvement activities with the team.
- To undertake activities relating to timecard, holiday, and absence management of direct reports.
- A hands on approach to be able to carry out all tasks within the defined areas of responsibility and train others to the required standard
- To maintain quality, batch control and traceability of all parts and to ensure the team operates to defined procedures
- Executes kitting tasks in response to shop floor demand signals
- Perform all operations according to prescribed safety, health and environmental (SHE) principles.
- Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices.
- Executes ERP transactions involving movement of inventory and other related transactions
- Safely operate manual handling equipment in line with training and authorisations
