Full-timeThis is a great opportunity to work as part of a multi skilled team at our Wytch Farm Oil Field near Corfe Castle, Wareham, Dorset.

The primary focus of this position will be to assist in providing Operational Support to the Well Service team, working under the direction of the Well Service Supervisors and Senior Operators. In addition, the role will also focus on delivering a high-quality ESP installation and retrieval service and completions support.

This position operates on a 12-hour shift of both days and nights on a 7/7 rotation.

Key Responsibilities Include:
Key Tasks Well Services:

- Support the Well Services Supervisor/Senior operator
- Assist with Well kills and rod running/pulling operations.
- Carry out weekly inspections of wellheads & Xmas trees recording condition to Well Intervention Engineer.
- Assist with Wellhead maintenance PMR's alongside wellhead technician.
- Assist with rigging up and operating our mobile well test skid.
- Assist with rigging up and operating our hot oiling unit.
- Operate and maintain the pressure test pump.
- Carry out minor repairs to equipment as directed.
- Carry out routine annulus checks.
- Carry out weekly Echometer and Dynamometer surveys
- Act as forklift driver / slinger / banksman for Well Service Operations.
- Prepare work permits as per P2W system

Key Tasks ESP and Completion:

- Pre-use checking and testing of ESP and associated equipment
- Maintain a full inventory of equipment and tooling to Install and pull ESPs
- Liaise with rig crew on equipment handling and method of deployment.
- Ensure correct operation of Cable Spooler and associated ESP equipment, required for deployment of the ESP system.
- Build up and retrieval of the various configurations of ESP and related equipment as per procedures.
- Carry out initial trouble shooting during retrieval and installation
- Maintain records and complete Run and Pull reports
- Prepare equipment for back loading in a safe and secure manner.
- Participate in all client driven safety initiatives.
- Perform pre-job toolbox talks and review risk assessments for the current tasks.
- Developing the skills of the assigned Rig crew do be able to participate in the deployment and retrieval of ESP equipment
- Assist with the preparation of Completion Equipment
- Assist with the building and testing of downhole equipment
- Maintain the inventory of Wytch Farm Mobile tools (WFs)
- Carry out and pressure testing and maintain records of Thorough Lifting Inspections.

This role is responsible for the activity being carried out under the WCC, ensuring that the tasks execution complies with the Safe Systems of Work procedure.

Well Control
During well interventions it is a core requirement to maintain control of the well at all times, ensuring that pressure and well fluids are contained.

In addition, during well interventions, it may become necessary to make safe the well and evacuate the site. This may be due to problems with the Well being worked on other site issue causing and alarm and muster being required.

Safety & Environmentally Critical Courses:

- Manual handling
- Task Based Risk Assessment (Level 2)

Key Requirements:
Qualifications:

- Lifting & Slinging to level Rigger 1
- Qualified to drive forklift
- HNC/HND in Mechanical discipline

**Experience**:

- Mechanical background
- Maximo & P2W competence (Maintenance management system and Control of Work System)
