**Role**
The role of a Purchasing Administrator is an excellent opportunity to develop within the Business and become a valued member of the procurement team. Particularly if you are in the growth stage of your career, then this is the ideal first stepping stone to start your procurement adventure within a great company. Reporting to a team of Buyers you will be involved in all Administration and supporting tasks related to the acquisition and expediting of Goods, Stock, Hired plant Purchase Orders and the Booking of essential travel services.
We are looking for a confident, self disciplined person who is conscientious and organised in their work, who is a team player, willing to assist a variety of duties within our department with an open transparent mindset.
- Update internal systems with relevant information, such as trackers containing live information such as Supplier Price lists, Contact details for access to reliable information at all times.
- Issue routine purchase orders for direct supply for goods, plant hire, vehicle maintenance and stock.
- Working within a fast moving department for the booking of accommodation, flights, hire vehicles and be able to be reactive to constant changes to the programme.
- Expedite open orders to achieve delivery requirements. Chase & review trace paperwork.
- Reporting any delays, disputes or issues with suppliers and informing Buyers / Managers.
- Ensuring accurate records are documented for reference.
- Support with obtaining warranty on tools and the return of repairs back to suppliers.
- Weekly contact with Site personnel prompting the off hire of hired tools and plant, maintaining items are book for removal from site in a timely manner.
- Purchase order uplifts to reflect incoming invoices. Reporting on invoice queries with Line Manager.
- Assist with stock checking non-stock items for Retail and Commercial buys.
- Responsible for the management of day to day purchasing of low value Consumables, PPE and stock.
- Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Procurement team.
- Adhere to company processes and procedures.
**Requirements**:

- Professional, confident and courteous manner, both written and phone
- Excellent communicator at all levels, good at relationship building
- Capability to use initiative, natural ability to recognize and respond to problems
- Good organisational and time management skills
- Numerate, accurate with ability to meet deadlines and targets
- Performance driven with a desire to succeed
- Flexible and able to work in a busy environment with a fast changing pace
- Working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
**Desirable but not a requirement**:
- Knowledge of the Construction and Fuel industries.
- Previous experience with Shared Working systems.
- Language skills
- Previous experience from an administrative role within an office environment.
