Assistant Buyer

The Company:
Ideally we would like the individual within this role to continue, or begin, working towards a Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Level 2/3 Qualification.

The Role:
Based in our Sowerby Bridge Head Office and reporting to the Group Buyer, this role's duties will include:

- Supporting the inputting, maintenance and development of trackers, report and orders for the procurement team.
- Monitoring and raising purchase orders for direct supply materials, plant, accommodation and vehicles.
- Expediting orders on a daily/weekly basis, reporting disputes or issues to your line manager.
- Assisting the sales team with Tender enquiries and quotations.
- Research and reporting on market trends, potential changes for foreign and domestic supply etc.
- Monitor trends, sales records and inventory of current stock.
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, whilst also seeking new ones.

Key Skills Sought:

- Prior experience within procurement - Buyers Administrator or similar role preferable.
- Knowledge of, or experience buying, construction industry materials.
- Good Microsoft suite experience.
- An enthusiastic highly organised individual.
- Good problem solving abilities, and ability to work on own initiative.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £20,000.00-£21,000.00 per year
