What it's like to work here:You'll work closely with our small collections team to care for our diverse collection and the interiors whilst coming to the end of our Through the Roof project.

Working with your colleagues in the Property Leadership Team you'll regularly duty manage the whole site, striving to ensure visitors have an exceptional experience.

Coughton Court is one of England's finest Tudor houses and has been home to the Throckmorton family for 600 years. It has fine collections of furniture, family portraits and Catholic memorabilia which help us share the story of 'One House, One Family, One Faith - a family's struggle to remain true to its faith'. The house is set in award-winning gardens including the spectacular Walled Garden and orchards. Coughton has been undergoing a large-scale conservation project for the last 17 months and welcoming visitors throughout. This year we will be welcoming visitors to experience ‘Coughton Uncovered’ and the finished project.

What you'll be doing:As the Collections and House Officer, you’ll be responsible for opening the house every day, and making sure there are enough people in the right places to give visitors a consistently good experience.

Supervised by a Senior Collections and House Officer, you'll be responsible for routine conservation, preventive conservation and the annual programme of deep cleaning. Your attention and expertise will help to ensure excellent standards of care throughout the house.

You'll collect and record information gathered during cleaning and housekeeping, to improve our knowledge and understanding of the house and all that’s in it. You’ll use preventive conservation methods to improve how we look after everything, and how we present it to visitors.

As Duty Manager, you'll be covering the fire and security rota, opening up additional spaces on the estate and being part of the first aiders.
