As a French-speaking nursery practitioner, your role is to provide care, education, and support to children in a nursery or early childhood setting where French is spoken.

You will create a nurturing and stimulating environment that promotes the development of children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical skills while using the French language as a means of communication and instruction.

**Must have experience in a Nursery Setting with children aged 6 months to 5 years old.**

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and well-being of children in the nursery, maintaining a secure and nurturing environment
- Supervise and engage with children during playtime, mealtimes, naptime, and other daily routines.
- Assist with personal care routines, such as diaper changing, toilet training, and handwashing.
- **French Language Instruction**:

- Communicate with children primarily in French, fostering their language development and fluency in the language.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and lessons in French to promote vocabulary acquisition, listening skills, and language comprehension.
- Encourage and facilitate conversations in French among children, promoting their confidence and oral communication abilities.
- Curriculum Planning and Implementation
- Assessment and Progress Monitoring
- Parent and Guardian Engagement
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, implementing appropriate measures to maintain a clean and safe environment for children.
- Administer first aid or seek medical assistance as needed, following established protocols.
- Participate in professional development opportunities, training sessions, and workshops to enhance your skills and knowledge.

**Qualifications**:

- Fluent in French and English, both written and verbal, to effectively communicate with children, colleagues, and parents.
- Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or a related field.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices, particularly in the early years.
- Experience working with young children in a nursery or early childhood setting.
- Understanding of French language instruction methodologies and techniques for young children.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with children.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
