Nursery Practitioner Essential Requirements

  • Great organisational skills with minimal need for close supervision, can-do attitude, positive energy, and real passion for helping children get the best possible start in life.
  • Solid understanding of EYFS and the statutory framework, and experience in putting these to work to raise standards and meet Ofsted requirements.
  • 2 years + experience in a nursery setting.
  • Significant experience in Safeguarding and in developing and executing planning and progression of children's development.
  • Numerate with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Reliable and mature, with strong people skills, self confident and able to motivate.
  • Flexible and receptive to change. Nursery Practitioner Key responsibilities :
  • Implement a high standard of safety, security and child protection, ensuring procedures are applied properly by all staff.
  • Maintain strong parent / carer relationships, with positive ongoing engagement, resolving any issues that arise working with the right people in the team.
  • Count within ratio as a key worker and deliver excellent operational practice when required, providing a good example to the peers.
  • An additional language (French, Spanish, Italian in particular) is also welcomed.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £28,600.00 per year
