**Job Description**:
Ashfield Nursery are looking for a full time Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner to join their fast-growing establishment and friendly team.

Hours are-40 hours per week. To be considered for this role you must be available between 7.30am-6.00pm, Monday to Friday.

As a Nursery Nurse you will be expected to offer consistently exceptional childcare and early education for children, and are therefore seeking enthusiastic, self-motivated, and passionate individuals to join the nursery's successful team.

Requirements of a Qualified Nursery Nurse:
- Experience working with 6 weeks-5 years.
- Minimum of NVQ Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare/Education in compliance with the government checker as a full recognized qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience
- Good safeguarding knowledge and certificate preferable
- First aid qualified preferable.
- Good knowledge of the EYFS
- Good knowledge of schemas
- Inspirational
- Approachable
- Caring
- Good teamwork with practitioners and to work in partnership with our parents.
- Ability to work Monday to Friday on a shift Rota basis.

Responsibilities of a Nursery Nurse:
- Key practitioner responsible for a key group of children
- Work with a wider team of practitioners to effectively follow daily routines.
- Provide the children with a safe, secure, and home from home environment.
- Work as part of a highly motivated and professional team
- Support children to grow and learn.
- To follow all policies and procedures including a commitment to safeguarding and child protection.

**Salary**: Up to £11.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- South Shields, NE33 4RT: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Nursery: 1 year (required)
- Childcare: 1 year (preferred)
