**About the Client**:

**Job Role**:
Working with the Goods In Team leader you will be responsible for the day to day receipt and inspection of goods received at the Shellingford Distribution Centre. Inspection will be carried out in accordance with Company procedures in an efficient manner ensuringbusiness targets are met. Liaise regularly with Oxford purchasing team to keep them informed of incoming product quality. All activities must be carried out within health, safety and environmental requirements.
**About the role**:

- Check incoming goods are correct against goods received notes and Company purchase order number
- Assist in the Goods In Team Leader in organising incoming deliveries
- Act as cover for the Team Leader in his absence
- Liaise with purchasing department
- Unload containers and trucks in a safe manner
- Inspect goods for quality against industry standard grading rules
- Carry out sample moisture tests on sawn timber
- Label all products with appropriate identifications tags, sawn timber and panel products
- Measure sawn material and create tallies for system traceability
- Using the computer system to identify when goods will be received and arrange for inspection and stock transfer out of goods inwards.
- Work to Company Health and Safety standards and contribute to the continual development and implementation of policy
- Maintain good level of housekeeping in goods inward area
- Communicate regularly and effectively with purchasing teams.

**Personal Specification**:

- Proven knowledge of Timber products and grading rules (advantage)
- Ability to communicate at different levels
- Computer literate with understanding of outlook, word and excel
- **_Mobile plant licence holder (Combi)_**:

- Well organised with the ability to plan and prioritise effectively.
- Resilient with the ability to work in a challenging environment.
- Knowledge of health & safety regulations.

**Hours of Work**:

- Monday - Friday
- 40 hours per week
