**Client Details**

Our client is a family owned business with experience in collecting, storing and delivering freight needs. Growing year on year the time has now come about to expand their Transport team once again. If you are a Transport Planner and are looking for yournext step in your career, this may be the role for you.

**Description**
- On a day-to-day basis, working with customers / suppliers / drivers / our warehouse and your team members, planning routes for full, part and groupage loads, at required dates and times
- Strong organisational skills for prioritising workload, driver brief and de-brief
- Proactively work to reduce any late deliveries and missed time slots
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to make decisions quickly
- Use & maintain computerised systems such as Stirling, and have the understanding and experience of using MS software such as excel etc
- Ensure cost efficiency is maintained (exceeded) through the planning, back loads, and the smooth running of the operation, having a good national geographical knowledge

**Profile**
- Experience of working in a similar Transport Administrator / Planning position
- Transport Manager - CPC Holder desirable but not essential
- Experience in traffic management, dealing with VOSA Compliance, problem solving / logical thinking, working unsupervised and managing time to prioritise the workload
- Computer skills - Stirling (training will be provided), MS Office
- Good communication skills, interaction at all levels internally and externally.
- A Team player with a flexible 'Can Do' attitude with an industry knowledge of logistics and supply chain environment
