Medical Administrator

**About us**
The surgery is open 8am - 6pm Monday to Friday. Our phones are busy all the time. We only handle emergency calls between 8am - 8.30am and also between 5.30pm - 6pm.
The administration structure is headed by the business manager and the deputy practice manager. There is an office/workflow manager and 15 further medical administrators, both full & part time in addition to these vacancies.
We have a dedicated prescription line where patients leave messages with their requests - these messages are converted to.wav files and arrive in our generic mailbox to be processed throughout the day.
We also offer many services via our website including online GP request forms available morning and afternoon, we accept online admin enquiries and medication reviews.
We use Vision Online Services for repeat prescriptions. We have automated check-in machines along with a mobile check in app and a TV in the waiting room.
We are a paperless practice therefore the majority of our work is done electronically in compliance with Data Protection guidelines. There is a dedicated practice secretary who handles typing, referrals, private non-nhs work, fee collection, invoicing etc.
The whole surgery has recently been refurbished benefitting from a large staff common room/kitchen.
There is a dedicated and free car park behind our building and direct bus links outside the front of our building.
The Murray Square shopping area is across the road for local amenities.
