The Aldingbourne Trust is a charity supporting adults with learning disabilities to live their lives independently. We are seeking a Part-Time (25 hours) Housing Administrative Assistant to join our friendly and busy team, situated in our project in Aldwick Road, Bognor Regis.
As a Housing Administration Assistant, you will be working within a team of three, and responsible for all administration as well as supporting our clients who live independently within Bognor and surrounding areas. The Team manages all aspects of Housing and Property Management for tenants to ensure they have suitable, well-maintained properties, encourage good relationships with their neighbours, as well as meeting all the terms of their tenancy conditions.
The role is predominantly office based (with flexibility to work from home) but there will be occasions where the Administration Assistant will be required to travel to properties in the local area to assist with the management of properties e.g., to take photographs for inventories, coordinate work, and liaise with contractors.
The main duties are to support the Housing Officers and coordinate all administration. This role requires someone who is highly competent to provide general clerical, financial, and administrative support assisting in the effective and efficient running of the Housing team. Excellent understanding of Microsoft, Word, Excel, and Access is required. There will be the opportunity to implement new ways of managing the administration and streamlining the team’s paperwork.
This is role is to cover a 12-month fixed term maternity contract. You will play an important part in supporting people with autism, learning disabilities, and/or mental health needs to live the lives they choose safely, while developing their own independence. This will involve working with a range of landlords, arranging maintenance of properties, supporting people to access good housing through the statutory and private sector.
The best person will be able to prioritise, be organised, and able to multitask. You will need to be able to communicate clearly and must be highly computer literate.
This is a fixed-term 12-month contact, part-time 25 hours a week, offering flexible hours to suit the role and client’s needs.
