Job Description**
**Role purpose**: Working within Sequel's Data Analytics team, both to develop and enhance our proprietary data analytics tools, and to leverage the value and presentation of data metrics that flow from a range of Sequel's software products (which serve the global speciality Insurance Market)

The primary focus of the Analytics Consultant is to draw on foundation expertise in structured data and data warehousing, and to design compelling Power BI visualisations, which distil clear and accurate reporting metrics. Supported by a team of technology specialists, the Analytics Consultant will bring decision-making clarity to complex insurance data.
**We'd optimally like to attract a senior, seasoned Analytics Consultant, who can lead and influence discussions and solutions both with external customers, and internal teams. A hands-on specialist, well versed in consulting on complex business requirements, and bringing compelling data solutions to the fore.**

Work within a full lifecycle project team, on a range of BI and data analytics projects, typically for our** London Market Insurance customers**.

Working in a strongly client-facing role, collaborating with a team of data analysts and developers, as well as business analysts and project managers to meet the delivery objectives and maximise the project outcomes.

The consultant will specifically
- Leverage expertise in the use of MS Power BI to create compelling, customised data visualisations for customers of SBS Rulebook’s BI tools and underlying technologies.
- Work alongside business analysts to clarify customer-driven requirements, and to document such specifications clearly, unambiguously and to meet project scope and delivery metrics.
- Design and create Power BI dashboards and reports that tell the stories in a visually compelling and accurate manner.
- Develop an understanding of customers’ use of SBS Rulebooks products and services to better inform the scope and capacity of data visualisation offerings.
- Support the drive for continuous improvement - sharing ideas and transferring knowledge, and developing SME in the use of Power BI.

Qualifications**
The consultant will have worked in client-facing full-lifecycle BI project delivery, and show evidence of**
- Developed knowledge or experience in data management (data warehousing analysis and design; business intelligence fundamentals; the use of Microsoft SQL Server); able to provide technical guidance based on previous experiences.
- The ability to work as an independent specialist, exercising judgement and adaptability in own decisions and actions, able to positively influence customers and team members
- **
Domain specialism - insurance /specialty insurance / London Market Insurance**
- Ability to propose solutions to problems which may sometimes be complex; providing supporting information and analysis.
- Management of complex assignments with significant client / external contact
- Identification of business opportunities within own area and able to engage team in supporting such opportunities
- Strong relationship management capability - to build, develop and maintain relationships with customers, and within the team
