H&M Distribution are a well-respected distribution company that were formed in January 2007, offering first-class transport and warehousing services.
- You will be required to carry out regular business travel. We will provide you with a company car for this aspect of the role._

**Role Responsibilities - Business Development Manager**:
- Growing the customer base within a pre-defined area, in line with company strategy
- Sourcing and identifying valid leads for the full range of UK road transport solutions the business offers, and managing those leads through to a commercial sale
- Delivering reports, pipelines or forecasts
- Creating sales plans and agreeing targets and managing their performance in line with pre-defined target
- Working closely with the client manager & depot manager to implement clear processes designed to manage the onboarding of new customers
- Achieving a target of 10400 new pallet per year
- Acting as an ambassador for H&M distributions quality service and operating within our company values
- Regular business travel will be required
**Person Specification - Business Development Manager**:
- 3+ years’ experience of commercial sales experience with a proven history of success
- A valid UK driving licence is essential
- A great communicator who can maintain regular and personable contact with existing customers
- Ability to influence and close complex sales opportunities
- Excellent at planning strategies and spotting trends for increased sales
- Experience of the distribution/haulage industry is desirable
- Naturally confident and resilient
- Highly self-motivated with demonstration of goal orientation
- Good team working skills
- Strong organisational skills
- Flexible and comfortable to adapt to change
- Proactive with the ability to take a ‘can do’ and ‘always improve’ approach
