**Summary** We are looking for an Administrator to join our London Thames Maths Hub team. **About Us** The London Thames Maths Hub is one of a network of 40 Maths Hubs in England, working together within the Maths Hubs Programme, which began in 2014. The programme is funded by the Department for Education (DfE) and coordinated by the National Centre for Excellence in the Teaching of Mathematics (NCETM). **Main Areas of Responsibility** Work Group Lead Support**: - Diary management - Creating, filing and archiving of documents - Ensuring Work Group Leads have everything they need to run their Work Groups effectively and understand the Maths Hub processes **Venues and Bookings**: - Booking of venues, room requirements, resources and catering for work groups and projects - Ensuring the timings, reminders and travel information are communicated clearly **Advertising and Recruitment**: - Website design and administration - Maximising the use of external communication channels, such as websites; newsletters and Twitter to inform schools of the opportunities available - Creation of marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters and mail shots - Using the website to successfully recruit for Work Groups, projects and events - Managing the primary and secondary mailing lists and the content that goes out **Work groups / events**: - Ensuring the registration and evaluation processes are being followed and reporting on the data - Capturing in lesson highlights to use as promotional material - Managing and updating the Maths Hub Calendars **General**: - Working as part of the London Thames Maths Hub team to improve education and life chances for children and young people - To undertake any other duties appropriate to the grade of the post. - General office management such as ordering stationary - Providing general admin support to the team - Data entry - Ensuring WGLs receive an induction and understand the processes and requirements of being a WGL - Confirm Work Group dates with WGLs - Demonstrate how to use the processes put in place by the hub and the NCETM - Ensuring WGLs have everything they need in order to run their Work Group effectively **Venues and Bookings**: - Booking of venues, room requirements, resources and catering for work groups and projects - Ensuring the timings, reminders and travel information are communicated clearly **Advertising and Recruitment**: - Website design and administration - Maximising the use of external communication channels, such as websites newsletters and Twitter to inform schools of the opportunities available - Creation of marketing materials such as flyers, newsletters and mail shots - Using the website to successfully recruit for Work Groups, Projects and events - Managing the primary and secondary mailing lists and the content that goes out **Work groups / events** - Ensuring the registration and evaluation processes are being followed and reporting on the data - Capturing in lesson highlights to use as promotional material - Managing and updating the Maths Hub Calendar **Qualifications & Experience** - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - A professional manner and high level of presentation - IT literacy including experience of MS word, Office and Excel - The ability to work in an organised way and to be able to prioritise a busy and varied workload - Ability to show initiative - Ability to adapt to the needs of the hub **Next Steps** **Professional Development & Benefits** Our people are at the heart of our success.
