Due to continued growth my client is looking for an experienced Trainee Paraplanner,, who can support their team of senior paraplanners and financial advisers, on a day-to-day basis.

The main responsibilities of the trainee paraplanner will include: -- Learning, understanding and using the various systems used in the business to best effect
- Support the advisers by
- Calling clients to arrange appointments for Annual Reviews
- Preparing Annual review packs, tailoring these to the Adviser’s requirements on a client-by-client basis
- Building relationships with clients
- Ensuring that Fact Finds are comprehensive and complete
- Participating in client meetings with the Financial Advisers when possible
- Assisting the advisers to gather information
- Submitting cases for cost comparisons to be produced
- Liaising with the Paraplanners to enable production of 'Right First Time’ Suitability Reports
- Reviewing and checking Suitability Reports before they are given to the Advisers for sign off
- Ensuring all client files are maintained accurately and electronically
- Liaising with the advisers to produce post-review letters
- Maintaining New Business Pipeline reports with details of meetings
- Ensuring cases adhere to both FCA compliance and regulation
- Providing clients with information upon request
- Answering phone calls and booking appointments where necessary
- Assisting with projects from time-to-time, e.g. CGT and pension/ISA funding exercise at year end
- Maintaining awareness and current knowledge to ensure the business is fully compliant with regulation
- Upholding the professional reputation of the business at all times.

Skill and abilities required for the position include: -- The ability to explain complex information clearly and simply
- Confidence to work with numbers and explain them to clients
- Confident with strong verbal and written communication
- Computer and IT literate, especially in MS Office
- A pleasant and confident telephone manner
- A positive attitude to learning, particularly insurance and finance
- A strong eye for detail
- Excellent organisational skills
- A team player.

Qualifications and Experience

Level 4 Diploma for Financial Advisers (DipFA®) or part qualified towards this qualification. As this role is a route to becoming a qualified Financial Adviser, the jobholder will be expected to study for their Financial Planning examinations.
