Job description:

Is operating effectively in a transport environment one of your strengths? Is coordinating drivers and ensuring you run a safe and efficient operation a day-to-day occurrence for you? Do you find building strong and sustainable relationships with stakeholdersa habit? If so, we are looking for a Operations Manager to join us and manage our contract, on a full time, permanent basis, to be based out of the Chepstow site.

**Pay, benefits and more**:
The salary on offer will be up to £45,000, plus car allowance. We also offer 25 days’ holiday (including bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme,a workplace pension and many other benefits.

**What you’ll do on a typical day**:

- Day-to-day you will manage the overall operation, ensuring that compliance and targets are achieved in line with business and customer requirements
- You will need to continually control cost to ensure the site operationally meets or exceeds budget targets and look to continuously improve wherever necessary
- Actively motivate, manage and maintain relationships with depot drivers, managers and customers
- Proactively promote a health & safety culture, leading by example to help drive initiatives that will maintain and improve our culture of safety across the site

**What you need to succeed at XPO**:

- Strong on compliance and **must**be an international CPC holder.
- Previous experience of working within a transport operation managing a large driver workforce
- Strong management experience managing teams
