We're currently looking for an **Implementation Specialist** on a full time, permanent basis. This position sits within the Learning & Assessment CoE team. We are flexible on the location of this role.

**The job**

Reporting to the Learning & Assessment CoE Manager, on a day-to-day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

- Lead the technical translation from a predefined IT strategic direction for learning and assessment technology.
- Support a wide range of technology projects within the Learning & Assessment CoE.
- Work with a wide range of business stakeholders to ensure their requirements are translated into our technology specifications.
- Liaise with third-party and internal suppliers to ensure quality delivery of bespoke development and integration tasks.
- Liaise with external software suppliers to support with projects and BAU connected with third party products.
- Develop learning and assessment technology in support of the continued stability and development of exams and learning systems.
- Develop learning and assessment technology to exploit future market opportunities.
- Develop learning and assessment technology to ensure future flexibility and innovation in our delivery models.
- Act as a learning and assessment technology specialist and advocate for IT across the organisation

**The person**

We're looking for someone who:

- Experience of SQL and database design
- Experience of implementing software projects that support high volume transactions.
- Experience of working closely with software development resources, agreeing requirements, and ensuring quality delivery.
- Experience of working in organisations undergoing significant transformation
- Strong influencing skills with both internal staff and external stakeholders with the ability to provide clear and non-technical advice/interpretation of complex information. Stakeholder management and reporting up to head of level.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with ability to think laterally and conceptually.
- Experience of using Microsoft 365

The following skills would be an advantage:

- Experience of working with and developing high-volume online exam delivery technology systems
- Experience of working with and developing learning management technology
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, modern integration, and information management approaches
- Experience of Java and the Spring Framework
