**Job Overview**

We are looking for a **Yard Operative and Coordinator** to join our team at **South Street Yard - Recycling Yard**. In this role, you will help with the daily operations of the yard, including handling recyclable materials, keeping the yard clean and safe, and assisting with deliveries and collections.

The **key responsibilities **of this role would be;
- **Yard Operations**_:_
- Move and sort recyclable materials, including tar planings, rubble, and other materials.
- Operate yard equipment such as a telehandler, shovel, and forklift in a safe manner.
- Keep the yard clean and organised, following safety rules.
- **Logistics and Coordination**_:_
- Help with loading and unloading 32T wagons and flatbed vehicles.
- Ensure materials are stored properly and are easy to access.
- Assist in scheduling deliveries and collections.
- **Administrative Support**_:_
- Keep track of stock and help with simple paperwork.
- Report any equipment or safety issues to the office staff.
- **Attention to Detail** - Ensuring materials are sorted and stored correctly.
- **Safety Awareness** - Following safety rules to keep everyone safe.
- **Teamwork** - Working well with others and communicating clearly.
- **Problem-Solving** - Resolving issues quickly.
- **Reliability** - Being dependable and punctual.
- **Adaptability** - Handling changing tasks and conditions.
- **Communication** - Communicating clearly with colleagues and supervisors.

The hours for this role are Monday to Friday, 07:30-16:30 with the occasional requirement for overtime and weekend working.
