**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and manage the civil construction activities related to Openreach network projects, ensuring compliance with company standards, specifications, and safety regulations.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure seamless execution of civil works, including excavation, trenching, cable laying, and reinstatement.
- Utilize your experience to effectively plan and allocate resources, ensuring optimal productivity and adherence to project timelines.
- Monitor work progress, identify potential delays or issues, and take proactive measures to address them to avoid disruptions.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess the quality of workmanship, adherence to safety protocols, and compliance with industry standards.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the construction teams, promoting a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including local authorities and utility providers, to obtain necessary permits and approvals for construction activities.
- Maintain accurate records of project activities, materials used, and work performed, ensuring proper documentation for reporting and invoicing purposes.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Proven experience in civil construction, particularly in Openreach network projects.
- In-depth knowledge of construction techniques, materials, and methods related to telecommunications infrastructure and Openreach network installations.
- Previous experience in a supervisory or leadership role, demonstrating the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations and the ability to enforce safety protocols on construction sites.
- Strong organizational and communication skills, enabling effective coordination with various stakeholders.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and technical specifications.
