YOUR ROLE
Our 24/7 transport operation in Daventry have an exciting opportunity for a detailed focused and customer centric Transport Administrator where you will effectively plan and resource our transport fleet in order to meet the needs of our customers.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
As the Transport Administrator you will report into the Transport Supervisor and work in collaboration with our Contract Manager where you will ensure service level agreements are maintained and that all activities are undertaken in accordance with current legislation, company policy and procedures. You will provide effective administration for our traffic office where you will carry out all transport administration tasks promptly and professionally, such as order planning and management, Driver planning and coordination, quality complaince, mangement of transport documentation, and improvement activities. You will manage incoming and outgoing calls, liaising with operators and customers regularly therefore you will have excellent customer service and problem-solving skills.
This amazing role will also focus on your personal development therefore you will attend any additional training programmes required within the team in an effort to upskill and develop our workforce.
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Proven experience of working in a transport administration or planning environment.
- Previous experience in either a customer service or transport role.
- Outstanding customer service skills, with the ability to build strong working relationships.
- Confident communication skills both written and verbal.
- Team player with the ability to work within a team environment.
- IT Literate

It would be desirable, however not essential if you have experience of working in a multi-depot or 3pl environment.
