Job purpose:
- The People and Capability team is responsible for structuring - and leading on - our ESO sourcing strategy and operations, be it through talent acquisition, workforce upskilling, or capability development partnerships. The ESO is going through a period ofsignificant growth, and this is a fantastic opportunity to work across the business to develop our workforce so that we are set up to deliver on our ambitions, to support Great Britain on its journey towards net zero.
- This role is a key element of the Workforce Development team, which is responsible for planning, coordinating and delivering the recruitment, onboarding and induction effort required by the ESO business.
- Ensure new starters go through the onboarding process smoothly and facilitate monthly induction sessions to welcome new starters in the ESO
- Support the Workforce Development Manager and the wider P&C team in general in delivering additional team responsibilities where needed
Key skills and experience:
- Strong process delivering and improvement skills. You will need to work at pace and precisely even when you are under pressure, as well as a good ability to identify and manage risks.
- Strong customer-oriented mindset - you strive to ensure that hiring managers and new starters have a good customer experience throughout the processes you own and coordinate.
- Good stakeholder engagement skills. You need to be able to:
- Be the key point of contact for hiring managers for recruitment.
- Facilitate induction sessions with 10-20 new starters, and across sites.
- Experience in recruitment, on-boarding, and wider HR topics (e.g., employee value proposition)
