The University of East London is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Department for Allied Health and Public Head. As the Head of Department, you will be responsible for providing leadership, strategic direction, and academic oversight to our Allied Health and Public Health programmes.

You will hold a degree in Allied Health or Public Health, as well as a detailed understanding of contemporary aspects of health and social care practice at regional and national level, including workforce commissioning.

Evidence of partnership working with health employers and the care sector, is essential. In addition to this, evidence of your leadership and management of programme team(s) in HE, including extensive experience of curriculum development and management of relevant programmes; development of simulated learning for healthcare professionals; placement learning for allied health and public health programmes, including audit and risk management, is imperative to this role.

Furthermore, you should have the ability to engage in strategic planning, motivate, mentor, and support others, and work and deliver against deadlines.
