**This is the job** Joining the AA as a Portfolio PMO Analyst, you will support the overall management of our Insurance portfolio and supporting our skilled team of Project Managers to aid with project delivery.

You will play a key part with maintaining portfolio governance working with key stakeholders to ensure regulations/standards are always adhered to, tracking project spend, ensuring milestones, RAIDs and forecasts are maintained as well as tracking progresswith Delivery Partners on Small Change delivery.

We are looking for an individual who has experience working within PMO on a series of projects, someone who is a self-starter and driven to deliver high-quality outputs and outcomes.

**What will I be doing?**:

- Support and input into the Governance and Reporting processes to track key activities, plans, budgets, issues, and risks across all the portfolio’s projects
- Engage in Quality Assurance for all aspects of the Portfolio, using a quality plan, gates, and sign-off at appropriate levels
- Project delivery oversight of small change items
- Plays a proactive role in the promotion of project management methods and standards, implementation of good project management practices, and the monitoring of certain projects
- Collate and maintain a portfolio view of the key risks and issues across the Portfolio’s projects, feeding the most critical of these into the Central Project (PMO) RAID log as required
- Ensuring that the portfolio has effective processes in place to identify and monitor risks, has access to reliable and up-to-date information about risks, and uses the appropriate controls and actions to deal with risks. This role should also ensure thatthese processes are aligned with corporate risk management policy
- Provides a reporting service to the portfolio, collates base data, and generates reports to multiple audiences through aggregated data. Able to interpret the content and add insights and recommendations for the target audience
- Using expert knowledge, provide a secretariat function for the relevant Portfolio boards, capturing actions/decisions and summarising the discussion on agenda items

**What do I need?** Essential:

- Prior PMO experience working within a similar environment on a series of projects throughout a wide portfolio
- Strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to manipulate and manage data in board-level dashboards
- Strong stakeholder management experience of working with a variety of stakeholders including Senior Leaders, Executives and Directors as well as colleagues across wider business areas
- Sound knowledge of programme and project management methodologies
- Keen problem-solver with a mindset to 'dig deeper’ and continuously look for areas of improvement
- Passionate about projects and willing to learn/develop a long-standing career

Desirable:

- Project related qualification/certification i.e., PMO Practitioner, MSP certified, PRINCE2 etc.
- Understanding of Jira and SharePoint ownership/administration would be desirable but not essential
