**About us**:
In the Warrington Educational Psychology Service are dedicated to providing a high quality psychology service to children and young people. We are a supportive, creative and forward-thinking team who have shared core values, from which we practice in rich and varied ways. We are a relatively small service but one that is growing and developing in response to increased demand. Our team consists of experienced psychologists and newer entrants to the profession, and we are currently benefiting from having TEPs from Years 1, 2 and 3.

Our service makes a valuable contribution to supporting the inclusion and wellbeing of children and young people in Warrington. We support this through provision of systemic work across the Local Authority, with service partners and schools, and case work about individual children.

We use psychology and understanding of child development to deliver highly valued advice to schools and families. This is provided through statutory advice (as part of the EHC Needs Assessment process) and in consultation meetings with schools and settings.

We work together to develop and deliver preventative approaches relevant to our areas of interest and service need. Currently this includes Video Interactive Guidance (VIG) and VERP, supporting CYP experiencing Barriers to Education/ Emotionally Based School Avoidance, ELSA training and supervision, Restorative Practices, Mediated Learning Approaches (MeLSA), Person Centred Planning and supporting Critical Incidents.

We work frequently with partners in the Virtual School, Early Help and Social Care, Attendance team, specialist teachers, Early Years and Public Health. We also have good working relationships with health and community partners.

**The role**:
**We are looking for**:

- TEPs who are enrolled on the Doctorate in Educational and Child Psychology and are working towards qualifying as Educational Psychologist;
- Committed and hardworking team players who are able to work both independently and as part of a team.

**What's needed?**:
Warrington Educational Psychology Service (EPS) has an opportunity for a trainee educational psychologist join our collaborative and value led team. They will be starting the second year of their Doctorate in Educational Psychology course in September 2025.
