As a Principal Psychologist, you will support people with personality difficulties/mental illness and will be responsible for individual and group interventions, diagnostic and cognitive assessments, MDT working, risk assessments, facilitate staff reflective practice sessions and will be requested to design and deliver training.
As a member of the Senior Management Team, you will lead and oversee the specialised psychological programme and the transdisciplinary team where you will provide supervision and training to your peers to ensure they understand the concepts and principles underpinning the framework and the specialised skills required to work successfully within this service model.

As a Principal Psychologist You Will Be
Directly, or through the provision of supervision, to make highly skilled evaluations and decisions about treatment options taking into account both theoretical and therapeutic models and highly complex factors concerning historical and developmental processes that have shaped the individual, family or group.
Leading the Psychology team at the service.
Developing and support appropriate systems for the effective running of the Psychology service in line with clinical governance standards, professional standards and departmental procedures.
Previous experience as a Principal Psychologist
