Business Analyst

Our client, a major UK retail bank, provides every day banking services to over 17 million retail customers. The banks expertise and services span across Business Services, Corporate banking, Wealth Management, Group Functions, Retail and Investment Banking.

On behalf of this organisation, AMS are looking for a **Business Analyst** for a **6 month** contract based **fully remotely from home.**

**Purpose of the Role**:
To provide support for on going projects and to provide a working knowledge of **PEGA**to support with run and change support.

**As a Business Analyst you will be responsible for**:

- Provide support for ongoing projects
- Review BA deliverables
- Available for escalation and direction
- Involved in project kick-offs and the initial stages of a project to ensure the correct direction is being taken and that roles, responsibilities and deliverables are clearly understood
- Oversees and task manages a number or PBAs and SBAs across a number of Pega Scrum teams
- Ensures best practice, guardrails and strategic direction are adhered to
- Supports and mentors' PBAs and SBAs
- Defines strategic direction and strategic roadmap
- Provides direction on a day to day basis and on new proposals
- Analyse and capture the As-Is business process
- Define the To-Be process
- Identify OOTB (out of the box) Pega components that can be utilised to support the business need
- Identify existing functionality that can be reused
- Guide on best practice and usage of Pega functionality
- Facilitate business and IT workshops
- Create user stories
- Create wire-frame/UI mock-ups
- Support the agile delivery process and actively input into Agile ceremonies
- Support the scrum team with explanations, clarifications and defect triaging
- Review the developed functionality against the acceptance criteria, best practice, UI/UX standards
- Build relationships and trust within the business areas
- Support the business with business readiness activities e.g. training, knowledge articles
- Identify personal improvements and input into team improvements
- May be required to review design proposals and patterns of other teams
- Holistic management of User Stories in Jira across multiple projects
- Provide oversight, support and guidance to SBA and BA
- Ensuring consistent approach to ways of working across the area
- Direct business product owners on the strategic best use of Pega features.
- Guidance in the best approach to re-engineering business processes.
- Conduct impact assessments.
- **THE CANDIDATE MUST BE PEGA ACCREDITED**:

- **3 years experience with PEGA**:

- Help define best practice and assure adherence.
- Facilitate business and IT workshops
- Act as a intermediator between business stakeholders, end users, analysts and developers (bridging the gap in understanding)
- Input into the Pega roadmap
- Expert and clear communication
- Guiding approach in the correct usage of the Pega platform, frameworks and Agile methodology
- Leadership, mentoring, coaching and motivation
- Ensure design and solution follow best practice and guardrails
- Drive Pega area improvements
- Support with new demand
