It powers schools, businesses and hospitals, so I knew that if I did my placement within EDF then I would have a really large impact on society, and that made my placement a lot more fulfilling.” Priyanka, Science and Engineering Industrial Placement. **The Opportunity** This 12-month placement offers a starting salary of £24,500 and the chance to work at our #Torness Power Station in Scotland. You’ll take on a real job at a junior level, gaining hands-on experience while being supported by experienced colleagues and mentors. You’ll contribute to meaningful projects that support the energy industry, from improving safety and radiation protection to condition monitoring across operational sites. **What You’ll Be Doing** During your Operations Industrial Placement, you’ll gain practical experience in a professional environment. Past students have supported safety improvements through communications campaigns and training, explored radiation protection in new power stations, and helped maintain condition monitoring programmes across operational sites. **Your Work Location** You’ll be based at our #Torness Power Station in Scotland (EH42), where you’ll work alongside experienced teams and gain exposure to the operational side of nuclear energy. This location offers a unique opportunity to connect with colleagues and contribute to a key part of our business. **Who You Are** To be eligible for this EDF industrial placement, you need to be on track to achieve, or have already achieved, a 2:2 undergraduate or postgraduate degree in any Science or Engineering Discipline.
