The NELFT Children’s Integrated Universal & Early Intervention Services in Waltham Forest is looking to recruit to the post of Clinical Support Worker, Band 3. This position is fixed term to cover a period of maternity leave.

The role of Clinical Support Worker is to support the 0 -19 Universal & Early Intervention Team (Health Visiting & School Nursing) in the delivery of the service to children and young within the borough.

The post holder will ideally have previous experience of working children and young people. The role will involve preparing for, support provision and tidying after all child health clinics, weighing babies and young children, completing required screening-height, weight, vision and hearing for children in schools, and maintaining accurate records and input data.

You should have well-developed communication skills with patients/ colleagues and be able to provide an initial response to patient and other agencies queries, concerns and sign post/direct as appropriate. You will also be able to prioritise your work, be a team player, use your initiative and meet deadlines.

**Starting with NELFT**
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction.

**High Cost Area Supplement - London**
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £3,898 and a maximum payment of £4,967).

The successful applicant will be an NHS employee and may therefore have contact with vulnerable service users.
