Are you passionate about making a meaningful impact in the lives of young adults facing homelessness? Join our dynamic team as a **Young Adults Support Worker **in Depaul UK, where you will play a vital role in supporting and empowering individuals on their journey towards independence.

**About Us**:
**Role Overview**:
Our service at **Waltham Forest **provides support services to young adults aged 18-25, in a male-only supported accommodation so that they can develop skills and resilience to be confident and self-determining in their lives.

As **Young Adults Support Worker** at our service, you will work along young people to move towards independence and ensure that they are able to take control of decisions affecting their lives.

You will focus on providing quality support to them as well as undertake a range of support, housing management and administration duties.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Ensure the safety and wellbeing of clients in the service at all times possible including using Safeguarding and emergency alert procedures as applicable,
- Manage a caseload of clients for whom you will be the named key worker, and you will also take joint responsibility with your team members for the wellbeing and day to day support of all clients in the services
- Lead on risk and needs assessment and support planning for your key clients and contribute to ongoing needs and risk assessment of other clients in the service
- Deliver one-to one and group support opportunities within their accommodation and in the local community aimed at increasing resilience in the clients we work with.
- Support all clients to participate in Education, Training, Employment and Volunteering opportunities as appropriate to the development of their skills, assets and aspirations

**What We Are Looking For - Person Specification**:

- Experience of working with the client group
- An understanding and commitment to working in an assets-based way
- An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance use
- A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning.
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
- Able to demonstrate clear understanding of safeguarding requirements and procedures
