**About the role**
Reporting to the Head of Design, we’re looking for a super talented Senior UX Designer who possesses a deep knowledge of UX principles, frameworks and best practices.
At Parallax, we understand the importance of keeping the user front of mind throughout the entire product life cycle. We’re looking for someone with a proven track record of delivering great user experiences with the added challenge of growing and managing UX practitioners internally to support the agency’s proposition and future growth plans.
Some of your responsibilities in the role will be:
- Collaborate with senior stakeholders, product teams, business analysts and engineers to deliver thoughtful design solutions to complex problems.
- Organise, manage and lead user research sessions, presenting your findings in a compelling way to the wider working team.
- Revel in finding golden nuggets from various insight-gathering tasks, such as browsing through screen recordings, assessing heat maps and reviewing surveys or poll charts. Bringing this research to life through sketching or detailed diagrams and charts.
- Run user-centric workshops and ideation sessions with multi-disciplinary teams, drawing upon your experience to devise the best UX design strategies and manage difficult conversations.
- Your communication and listening skills allow you to take various ways of thinking and routes into consideration, you always find a way to move forward and arrive at an outcome that benefits the business, users and working group.
- Lead user testing sessions, following best practices and capturing insights in detail, then, in turn, presenting back findings to the working team. You champion the users and keep them at the heart of the entire design decision-making process, helping shape the architecture, flow, content and interface layouts that you design.
- Create user-first content strategies and brief designers, motion artists and copywriters to create compelling and valuable content.
- Own and iterate existing internal processes, constantly improving based on your and the team’s thinking and what’s happening in the industry.
**About You**
You will have a lot of experience and success in UX design including research, data analysis, workshops, lo-fi prototyping and user testing. You’ll lead on large-scale projects and clients, ensuring users are considered at every touch point.
We’d love you to bring a user-first mindset coupled with a strategic approach, ensuring we’re making design decisions underpinned by data and insight. Your work consistently hits project objectives and KPIs by solving genuine user and business problems. You can clearly formulate a hypothesis and get buy-in from those around you fostering a truly user-first environment.
**Skills & Experience**
- Possess a deep knowledge of UX principles, frameworks and best practices.
- Able to gain a strong understanding of how clients’ businesses function quickly and build empathy with their needs and problems.
- You understand the commercial impact UX design work can have, going above and beyond to showcase positive impacts on our client’s bottom line.
- An excellent listener and communicator to all levels from junior to C-Suite.
- You inspire those around you and communicate key market trends, data, processes and tools ensuring we are at the top of our game.
- You’re quick to adapt to issues and can manage multiple projects.
- Up to speed on the latest in SEO, being able to make recommendations to fuel organic growth.
- Accurate in estimating and able to pull together key ways of arriving at a solution.
- You’re a people person and have experience in mentoring younger members of a team.
