**About the role**

At the heart of our product sits a highly personalised conversation with each customer. It’s through this conversation that the engine builds trust and rapport, learns about each customer’s needs, explains recommendations in language that resonates and, ultimately, allows the customer to buy with confidence.

The UX Copywriter Strategist is responsible for our customer journeys, harnessing the psychology principles behind them and setting best practice. They do this by understanding the end users, their needs and pain points, and translating these (in conjunction with product, UX and data science) into actionable and measurable improvements.

They work closely with other members of the UX team and the wider organisation to help develop the 15gifts platform into a place of cutting edge, seamless user experience.

**You’ll be responsible for**
- Taking the lead on strategy, planning and commercial value of content of the 15gifts customer journey
- Mapping out the core 15gifts journey, ensuring consistency and optimising the commercial value of content across the product
- Breaking down the core journey into the 6 stages of the customer journey and testing/optimising each aspect to find and implement best practice
- Working with the analytics team to build both product and customer KPI dashboards that show the quality/success of all journey strategies - looking for opportunities to improve
- Working with UX, Customer and sprint teams to adopt best practice across all 15gifts partners, while ensuring optimisation of copy for commercial success
- Working with the product team to support new feature development, ensuring that the quality of journey is protected and consistent
- Running split tests to trial different approaches and optimise the journey, defining the backlog for experimentation in conjunction with data science
- Working with the dev team to find scalable ways to implement highly personalised experiences
- Being market aware - staying on the pulse of UX writing trends and how different strategies affect behaviour
**You’ll be accountable for**
- Owning/updating a tone of voice strategy to be used across the business
- Leading copy on all new partner builds, implementing our journey best practice and tone of voice while considering partner-specific language and tone
- Working with the product team to clearly document journey best practice (framework) - ensuring all partners are upgraded to the latest capability through gap analysis
- Mentoring the UX Content Executive
**Skills and experience**
- Ability to write human-centred content including micro-copy
- Experience of writing for product journeys or digital forms
- Capable of using data and user research to understand and identify user needs when creating or editing content
- Experience of simplifying complex content
- Ability to look at the bigger picture and overall UX of content, considering all touch points in a journey
- Experience of working with designers, product owners and other stakeholders
- Experience of leading content design in projects, championing its equal importance to other design elements
- Good attention to detail across multiple channels, work independently and stick to to deadlines
- Knowledge of content models and their uses in content design
