UI Developer

Are you an experience UI developer looking for a new challenge?
We are looking for a new UI developer to join our cross skilled design team supporting our public sectors clients such as the Scottish Government and Transport for London.
As a UI Developer with a passion for user-centred design, you will work with cross skilled project teams, You will report into the UI Development Lead and work closely with the other disciplines in our team to support a rich, collaborative team environment,both on and off project.

**What you will be doing**:

- Support the delivery of UI software, working with colleagues and clients on our tools and approach.
- Reflect on and improve our UI Development discipline, shaping the tools and approaches we use on a regular basis.
- Be an active member of the design team, supporting the wellbeing and development of its members, and contributing to its strategic growth and direction.
- Contribute to the creation of case studies, tender responses, and client proposals, to help showcase the team and bring new work in.
- Collaborate with the wider engineering community on internal software initiatives.

**What you’ll bring**:

- Experience working in an Agile development team
- Experience maintaining and developing accessible user interfaces
- knowledge of, JavaScript, Css and Html, their eco systems and best practices
- knowledge of REST and consuming API’s
- Working with version control
- Experience writing unit tests
- Working with at least one JavaScript framework commercially.
- Strong interpersonal skills, a track record of building client relationships

**It would be great if you had**:

- Knowledge of DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Vue, React or Angular
- Knowledge of TypeScript
- Knowledge of GraphQL
- Knowledge of containers
- Experience of working in the public sector
- An interest in User centered design
- Experience working in consultancy
