We are seeking Nursery Deputy Manager to join our team.

About the Nursery Deputy Manager role:
- As an organised and enthusiastic individual you will assist with the care and education of children in our high quality sessional care setting adhering to all relevant policies and procedures and legislative requirements.
- Safeguarding Children - putting their welfare, care and development first and supporting the Nursery Manager in this role.
- Support the manager in the day to day management of the nursery in terms of administration and ensuring that all welfare requirements are met on a daily basis.
- To provide high standards of care and education for all children
- Support the leadership and management of the nursery teams so they can develop and thrive.
Responsibilities of our Nursery Deputy Manager:
- Be responsible for the supervision of children at play (indoor and outdoor) and at mealtimes, providing personal care to children whilst at the same time providing opportunities for them to develop their independence.
- Oversee the planning and delivery of relevant and current curriculum frameworks.
- Take responsibility for planning, tracking and evaluating the learning and development of key children and setting individual targets.
- Ensure you are creating a comfortable, safe, stimulating and nurturing environment which takes into consideration each family’s ethnic and cultural background and each child’s individual needs.
- Ensure that the nursery is set up and tidy up before and after each session, leaving the nursery clean and tidy.
- Operate an effective key person system, creating and maintaining partnerships with parents/carers and partner agencies encouraging their involvement and engagement in the centre’s work.
- Provide information to customers as required, including dealing with parents and report any safeguarding incidents or concerns in line with policies and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and information in relation to centre activities including each child’s progress.
What you’ll need as our Early Years Practitioner:
Alongside an NVQ Level 3 in Childcare or equivalent qualification you will also need to evidence that you have relevant experience of working with children aged 0-5 years in an early years childcare setting. Your communication skills, flexible approach and flair for building relationships will really set you apart.
