Location: Norwich

**Job Type**: 6-month Fixed Term Contract
Hours: flexibly across five days (Mon-Fri)

**HR Assistant Manager - **The Role:
- Overseeing the day-to-day services of the HR team, coaching the support team and providing feedback on performance and development
- Be a key point of contact for internal and external HR queries, and deputise for the Head of HR.
- Line manage HR team
- To support the Head of HR with shaping and delivery of a full HR service throughout the whole employee journey
- Identifying opportunities and contributing to the evolution of a value adding HR service to deliver the business plan

**HR Assistant Manager - **Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advice and coaching to Partners and Line Managers including performance management, talent reviews, engagement, wellbeing and training and development and recruitment techniques
- Manage the firm’s training and development activities for apprentices, professional training programmes, mandatory training, management and leadership and soft skills
- Support the Training Committee and managers to achieve the annual training plan, maintain talent records and career development plans and succession planning.
- Support consultation and engagement processes including employee surveys and provide feedback in a controlled and timely manner to Partners, management, and employees
- Develop and implement initiatives, procedures and guidelines that support the firm’s culture of wellbeing and engagement in support of the Business Plan
- Maintain regular communication with aligned people leads. Lead and maintain positive relationships with Employee representatives and engagement champions
- Ensure monthly employee payroll is delivered in a timely and compliant manner and statutory reporting requirements are met
- Contribute to alignment of pay and benefits offerings and deliver activities that support the reward strategy, including annual salary and benefits reviews
- Ensure employee records are maintained and accurate
**HR Assistant Manager - **You:
Essential:
- Fully CIPD qualified at Level 5 or equivalent experience
- Strong experience of running and approving in house payroll from end-to-end
- Commercially astute
- Working closely with senior management within a business to deliver solutions that meet requirements within the legal framework
- Prioritising workload to produce desired outcomes within tight timeframes
- Managing workloads within service level agreements/contracting to meet expectation
Desirable:
- CIPD Level 7
- Relevant qualifications or accreditation
- Experience of managing, coaching and developing a small team
- Experience of working in an accountancy practice or other professional services firm
- An understanding of the professional training requirements of student and qualified accountants
We think that this role is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week (Monday - Friday) and it will be fixed term for an initial 6 months.
