A premier independent care provider - one of the UK’s top 25 companies to work for in 2021 - is now looking for an **experienced** **Healthcare Assistant (HCA)** to join their “Good”-rated care home (located not far from Etchingham) as a **Trainee Care Practitioner**.
The home, a carefully adapted former convent, offers individually tailored residential and nursing care for older adults with age-related needs, including specialist dementia, stroke, and multiple sclerosis care. With landscaped grounds, a sensory garden, multiple lounges, thoughtful interior design features, and a wealth of planned activities - including bread making, pottery, knitting, crafts, exercise classes, and regular outings - residents are able to relax in comfort and style.
As a Trainee Care Practitioner, you will take your Senior HCA experience up a level. You will lead, motivate, and inspire more junior care team members, and work directly with the nursing team to manage residents’ medication, wound and continence care, and physiological assessments safely and effectively.
This is a **permanent, full-time** Trainee Care Practitioner role (42 hours per week, day or night shift patterns available) that gives you access to fantastic learning opportunities and a sector-leading employee benefits package.
**Person specification**:
You **_must_** have a minimum of 2 years’ recent experience in a care setting.
You **_must_** have an NVQ Level 3 Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
You **_must_** have GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above / Grade 4 -9.
