We are seeking a Purchasing Administrator, to manage the materials management function for our Letchworth based client.

As a strategic and crucial role within the business, the Purchasing Administrator will be responsible for vendor management, materials flow, and maintain accuracy over all goods inventories, including transactions, sub-contracting, logistics, scheduling, and shipping.

**Some of the duties of the Purchasing Administrator include: -**
- Manage MRP to provide inventory control, forecasting / scheduling, purchasing of material.
- Place orders on 3 nominated suppliers in Asia and actively manage shipping schedule,
- Document handling with file generation to input Test Certificate information into the MRP system.
- Manage stock between 3rd party logistics warehouse and company locations in the UK.
- Analyse demand, sales forecast, and historical material usage to meet customer demand.
- Send and manage request for quotation to nominated steel suppliers.
- Ensure the business has a robust supply chain, capable of supporting business activities (JIT, FIFO, OTIF).
- Order progressing and provide updates on delivery schedules with key suppliers and updating system to ensure all staff have visibility on future stocks.
- Work with stakeholders in; Engineering, Manufacturing, Warehousing and Quality to achieve cost reduction.

**The successful Purchasing Administrator - will have the following skills and experience: -**
- Supply Chain, Purchasing or Materials Management expertise.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering business.
- Excellent standard of excel and comfortable with data handling.
- Experience using an MRP/ERP system.
