- Have an understanding of the design process.
- Assist in managing the design process, with a high focus on buildability and efficiency.
- Assist in managing a detailed design and procurement programme considering all of the design interdependencies prevalent on a construction project and linked to construction activities.
- Assist in monitor and reporting on the design programme on a regular basis.
- Assist in monitoring and maintaining a detailed Information Release Schedule
- Assist in regular design and technical meetings to ensure the design is developed in accordance with budget, programme, and technical constraints.
- Assist in investigating and analysing alternative specifications to ensure compliance and equivalency with Contract Requirements.
- Assist in managing the RFI process.
- Assist in managing the flow of design information
- Assist in preparing and updating the Design Workbook on a regular basis
- Assist in the preparation of the design aspect of subcontract tender enquiry packages as required.
- Assist in the Management of discharge of Statutory Conditions e.g., Building Control, Planning, NHBC, Secure by Design
- Assist in Coordination of BREEAM and Code for Sustainable Homes requirements.
- Undertake any other duties which may be required by management.
