The role of Assistant Design Manager is a hands-on site based role, responsible for day to day coordination and management of the design team and subcontractors with design responsibility for a specific project.

**Key Accountabilities**:
Take full responsibility for the design coordination.
Audit the design and identify inconsistencies, discrepancies and missing information and record, report and track the close out of these items in an Information Required Schedule format.
Take responsibility for the production and control of the design programme and report against it.
Chair design workshops with the trade contractors, develop the design, workshop drawings and manage the coordination between trades.
Manage the production and approval of samples, mock ups and quality benchmarks.
Chair Design Team Meetings with the consultant designers and record and track information from DTM's.

**Skills and Experience**:
Team player.
Prepared to be innovative.
A good organiser / system implementer.
Be able to effectively manage risk.
Be able to effectively plan the design programme.
Knowledge of electronic document management such as Conject (BIW).
Knowledge/Experience
Prior construction management experience or Architectural or M&E qualifications
