Public Sector Account Manager

**We’re looking for an experienced Account Manager to join our growing Public Sector Sales team.** Reporting into the Head of Public Sector Sales, we need reward driven, experienced sales professionals, who would thrive on the opportunity to make a significant difference and work alongside a first-class organisation. "a **great** place to work, a **great** place to be a customer" **The Role**: - Create Opportunities for all products Chess sell as part of the product strategy - Cyber, ICT, Cloud Telephony and Network. - Working closely with our team of Consultants and Technical Specialists to further expands are clients portfolio and develop new relationships - Meeting with our Key Vendors to discuss plans to bring in Net New customers to Chess - Keep up to date with current trends in the marketplace - Keeping up with our Vendors accreditations to ensure compliance - Work with your client base to understand - C-suite, route to procurement and key decision makers - Lead tender process, working effectively with associated stakeholders including Bid, Pricing, Service and support teams - Build relationships with our framework partners to make sure the procurement route for our clients is smooth - Manage own workload to deliver against daily KPIs and metrics. - Take control of the order process from start to finish - Proven experience of working in an Account Management sales role - Experience of selling within the IT/Cyber Security Industry - including Managed services, and multiple solutions and products - Good understanding of industry, product and solutions knowledge within the Chess portfolio - Commercially astute including in depth knowledge of industry trends, target market and decision-making process - Proven Track record in managing key relationships and the onboarding of new clients - Not essential but an understanding of the Public Sector industry will assist in hitting the ground running **Why join Chess?** Chess is one of the UK's leading independent and trusted technology service providers, employing over 360 skilled people across the UK, supporting over 21,000 UK businesses.
