This is a permanent post in our developing neurodevelopmental pathway and is part of a wider, well established Multi-Disciplinary Team (MDT). We are dedicated to providing a high-quality ASC and ADHD service that complements the work of our wider CAMHS colleagues.
Sussex CAMHS is at the beginning of a crucial and innovative expansion, which will see a substantial amount of growth in a variety of teams across East & West Sussex.
As part of this expansion we are recruiting to our Brighton and Hove area in our Neurodevelopmental pathway, providing community CAMHS support for young people and their families/ carers.
**Your responsibilities will include**:
- Providing support, co-ordination and case preparation for the ASC and ADHD assessment clinics
- Conducting service evaluation
- Audit projects
- Undertaking tasks to enhance the use of routine outcome measures
You will be joining a strong multi-disciplinary team and will receive high standards of supervision from an HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist, in order to develop an understanding of key aspects of the profession. You will need to utilise your excellent IT skills, including the use of Excel and PowerPoint, and have good audit and evaluation skills.
You will also be part of a wider Psychology team, contributing to our innovation and commitment to ongoing service improvement and compassionate care. Whilst direct clinical work is not part of the post, there will be an opportunity to support colleagues in developing shared formulations, care plans and risk assessments for young people and their families.
We provide mental health and learning disability care for children, young people and adults across Sussex and for children and young people in Hampshire.

**REQUIREMENTS**:
In order to be a successful Band 4 Assistant Psychologist in our team you will have:
- A degree (or equivalent) in a Psychology related topic
- Excellent IT, audit and evaluation skills
- A passion for working within a developing neurodevelopmental pathway
- Some experience of working in mental health sector, neurodevelopmental settings or with young people
**It would also be advantageous if you**:
- Are experienced working in CAMHS (Children and Young People’s mental health services) or other mental health or research settings
- Have a knowledge of Autism and ADHD

Flexibility with working patterns is desirable as we may extend the hours of our service to include some weekend and evening work
SPFT staff have the capacity to work from home remotely where applicable and in agreement with your line manager.
