We are looking for a Project & Programme Management Lead to join the team at AWE. You would be accountable for development and embedment, including coaching and training, of the Project and Programme aspects of the P3M Framework. The Framework provides the Portfolio, Programmes and Projects (P3M) with the appropriate tools, processes and know how, to enable consistent and effective delivery across the AWE Enterprise.
Location: We are in the Berkshire countryside between Reading and Basingstoke. This role is suitable for hybrid working.
**Salary**: Starting from £70,000 (dependent on level of suitability and experience).

- Graduate level of qualification or equivalent demonstrable experience.

Key Accountabilities:
- Supporting integration of all P3M disciplines to ensure a cohesive and unified framework that enables the business, with the processes and procedures, to enable a consistent and best practise approach to delivering programmes and projects.
- Governance and configuration control of the Project and Programme Management aspects of the P3M Framework, owning the associated processes, procedures, work instructions, and supporting tools.
- Creating, managing, and sustaining Project and Programme Management related communities of practice and communities of interest to increase the competence of the P3M community, facilitate P3M community buy-in, discussion, debate, and to enable feedback as well as continual improvement.
- Lead an integrated team to deliver the Project and Programme Management core services of the service area.
Key Responsibilities:
- Acting as custodian and point of contact for the P3M Project and Programme Management Framework, Process Maps, Discipline Work Instructions, Guidance Documents and Templates, including exemplars; ensuring continued integration and configuration with the wider PMO framework and service areas.
- Maintaining a programme of maintenance, upgrades, and renewal to the P3M Framework. Developing and/or refining the existing P3M procedures, processes, work instructions, guidance documents, and templates in line with the wider PMO framework and service areas, corporate policies, systems, and governance requirements, based on industry best practice.
- Identifying and resolving systemic issues with the P3M framework based on empirical evidence from P3M delivery.
- Developing and tailoring guidelines for the graded implementation of the P3M framework during delivery of AWE’s projects and programmes.
- Developing and leading the Project & Programme Management technical discipline which includes;
- Developing the processes, procedures, work instructions and relevant tools for the discipline on behalf of the Integrated Environment Service Lead.
- Assuring the processes as part of the P3M Assurance Service as the Senior figure of the discipline community.
- The coaching and mentoring of junior members of the community.
- Defining and delivering continuous improvement activity for the disciplin
