**Role Purpose**

Execute all demand activities in line with requirements from a topical Master Production Schedule, from a defined supply base through receiving, production and shipment to the contractual customer, in line with business and commercial approvals.

**Logistics Controller**

This opportunity, based at our **Prestwick** site offers:

- 37 hour working week (half day Friday)
- Shift premiums up to 33%, where applicable

**Responsibilities**:

- Execute quarterly stock checks and weekly cycle counts in line with Company processes/procedures.
- Accountable for accepting and rejecting deliveries (SO2 approval):

- Verifying goods meet the requirements of the PO
- Verifying Certification of Conformity corresponds with physical parts
- Verifying signatories/stamp holders identified on shipping documentation
- Impounding discrepant incoming material
- Notifying Purchasing and Vendor Schedulers of any queries in compliance with related company procedures/regulatory requirements (CAA/SOX)
- Preparation and kitting of assemblies to ensure production kits and Kanbans are supported in an accurate timely manner and take appropriate actions to ensure availability of material and parts.
- Perform transactions on system to update data held in respect of location, status, inventory and WIP (work in progress) accurately.
- Distribute and move goods - internally & externally as required, by means of appropriate equipment.
- Ensure job cards are issued in line with MPS to the correct revision and maintained accurately covering release, printing, opening, recording inventory issued and closing of job cards.
- Liaise with internal/external suppliers and customers to support the operational needs of the business as appropriate.
- Accountable for verification of the content and generation of all release documentation (SO7 approval) ensuring compliance with related company procedures and CAA/EASA regulatory requirements.
- Packing, despatching and shipping of items in line with company BMS (Business Management System) and customer procedures.
- Ensure Logistics data within the ERP system is kept accurate and topical.
- Maintain and record transport media (internal & external) serviceability in line with company process to ensure fit for purpose.
- Compile and submit quarterly waste packaging figures in line with company process.
- Receipt / despatch of all Spares AOG requirements as required (including 24 hour cover).
- Deliver on the job training in support of new employee to achieve relevant approvals.
- Participate in relevant training to maintain required standards.
- Compliance as per Sarbanes-Oxley legislation and BMS procedures.
- Comply with all company HS&E guidelines.

Qualifications:
**Knowledge, Skills and Experience**
- Excellent communication skills in verbal and written format as per key responsibilities
- Working towards SVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification
- Knowledge to train/supervise new personnel through probation for approvals (SO2/SO7)
- IT literate and the ability to use the ERP computer system (SAP) competently as per key responsibilities
- Knowledge and good understanding of all Logistics processes and procedures
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Organisational skills and ability to prioritise work to meet competing demands
- Ability to resolve problems through system analysis and interrogation
- Basic business awareness
- Ability to use appropriate logístical equipment (eg crane, forklift etc)
- Flexible approach and the ability to work as part of a busy team
