Housing Apprentice

**Job Summary**:

- To undertake an apprenticeship in housing management within a social housing setting.
- To undertake Level 2 Diploma in Housing and Property Management.
- To gain knowledge and skills through supporting the Senior Housing Officer with:

- providing a highly responsive and professional housing management service to all the Association’s tenants
- ensuring effective income maximisation through good management of voids, lettings and arrears management.

**Duties**:

- To undertake Level 2 Diploma in Housing and Property Management.
- To be guided by and learn from the Supported Housing Officer, Welfare and Support Officer and Head of Housing, Care and Support.
- Provide office administrative support for Housing Management functions.
- Answering telephone & dealing with general tenant enquiries and new applicant enquiries.
- Taking notes at relevant meetings if required e.g. lettings panel, hardship fund panel, meetings with other agencies, Tenant Meetings.
- Updating tenant records with new information, documents, communications received, ensuring compliance with GDPR regulations.
- Inputting accurate data and information onto the Housing Management system.
- Updating external systems to advertise voids.
- Making up tenancy packs, housing enquiry packs and assisting the Senior Housing Officer with all communications out to tenants, e.g. rent review letters, quarterly statements.
- Arranging collection or delivery of landlord post received to the Bardsley Court office.
- Managing inventory & ordering of office supplies to ensure smooth office operations e.g. printer inks, office stationery.
- Any other ad hoc administrative duties required.
- Supporting Senior Housing Officer and Welfare and Support Officer as required.
- Providing an excellent and responsive service to tenants.

- Work within the Association's Equality and Diversity Policy and ensure implementation of the same.
- Be always aware of Health and Safety requirements, ensuring compliance.
- Respect confidentiality in relation to information shared by tenants and work in line with the requirements of GDPR.

**Essential Qualifications and Experience**
- Willingness to travel across the London Borough of Croydon and to Eldon’s Housing sites in West Sussex (travel costs additional to home to base will paid).
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
- Demonstrates sensitivity, respect, and consideration.

**What Apprenticeship Training will you Receive?**

The successful applicant will complete and obtain a Level 2 Housing and Property Management Assistant Qualification through Learning Curve Group.

**You will be taught through**:
**4-6 Weekly 1-2-1 Sessions with your tutor**

**6 weekly hours of Off The Job Training**

**The course is a 12 months programme**
